Playwriting Contest – 10 Minute Play Festival

The Pomona College Department of Theatre and Dance is happy to announce its 2012-2013 Playwriting Contest & Ten-Minute Play Festival.

OPEN TO ALL 5C’S STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF!!

The Festival is a component part of Pomona College’s ongoing Elemental Arts Initiative, sponsored by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.  This year all submissions need to be connected to the Elemental Arts Initiative theme, the Earth. By this we mean that all 10-Minute Plays must in some way relate to the land, terra firma, the ground we live on; whatever that means to you, the playwright.

Play Submissions are due to the Seaver Theatre Office no later than Monday, November 19 by 5 p.m.

Five 10-minute plays will be selected by a panel of students, staff, and faculty and will be produced and performed on Friday, February 15, 2013 during Family Weekend.  Winning playwrights receive generous prizes!
