We, the Druids, would like to take this opportunity to welcome you into our community. The Druids have many responsibilities, but our main goal is to insure that students are able to take full advantage of, and enjoy, their time and interactions with theatre, both with the department and with student theatre.
Whether you are a new or returning student, we want to let you know that we are here for you.
We invite you to come to our weekly meetings or visit our website bltdruids.webs.com to learn more about the Druids. You can also email us at email@example.com or put a note in the Druids mailbox (located in the theatre office) if you have any questions or comments. We look forward to meeting you in the near future, and from all of us, welcome to the theatre!
THE DRUID CHARTER
The Druids are a student organization affiliated the Theatre for the Claremont College, The Department of Theatre & Dance at Pomona College. We fulfill two primary roles: acting as the liaisons between the Department and the student, and producing all student theatre under the title of Bottom Line Theatre (BLT).
As liaisons we address any concerns brought to us, helping to ensure a cooperative relationship between students and faculty, and additionally assist in organizing events that bring the entire theatre and dance community together.
As producers of BLT we provide opportunities for student involvement and creative input in all areas of theatre production. BLT is dedicated to employing the many theatrical interests and talents of our peers. We sponsor a number of productions each year, offering a venue for students to act, direct, write, design, and compose. Past productions have included one-acts, full-length plays, original plays, performance art, musicals, dance/movement, and mime.
